MALAYSIA: Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta helped his side Vissel Kobe in trashing Malaysian Super League Champions Johor Darul Ta’zim in the Asian Champions League on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old set up the home side’s opening goal after 13 minutes by threading a defence-splitting pass for hattrick hero Keijiro Ogawa to lob the ball over goalkeeper Farizal Marlias.
Safawi Rasid replied through a spot kick in the 27 minutes after former Barcelona player, Thomas Vermaelen handled the ball but Kobe then destroyed parity 60 seconds later with Kyogo Furuhashi slamming in a shot from the edge of the box.
Ogawa then scored his second of the night moments into the second half, before Douglas added a brilliant solo goal seven minutes later.
Iniesta then dinked an inch-perfect cross onto the head of Ogawa for the Japanese to complete his hat-trick after 72 minutes of play giving Kobe the win they deserve for the night.
