Malaysia suspends Liga Malaysia due to COVID-19

The Liga Malaysia, together with all lower-tier and youth football competitions, will be postponed indefinitely after this weekend’s proceedings due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The FA of Malaysia confirmed this today after an emergency meeting with their stakeholders, sponsors and the National Sports Institute.

This weekend’s matches, involving the Super League, Premier League, M3 League, M4 League, Youth Cup and the National Futsal League, will be played behind closed doors.

And all football competitions under FAM and the Malaysia Football League (MFL) will be postponed from March 16 until further notice.

The Liga Malaysia would be suspended indefinitely beginning 16 March 2020.
